- In recognition of her extensive volunteer work, as well as her many efforts to help seniors and children in the South Bay over the years, and for her work in establishing South Bay Village, Ges Davis was one of 4 winners of the 2016 Women of the Year award presented by the Switzer Learning Center in Torrance.
